Fairytale-like and majestic

This is what the view from the tower of the High Castle feels like. From here you can even see Lake Forggensee, where the large ships sail.
If you are taking your family on a tour of Füssen, you should definitely stop by the Lech Falls. The twelve-metre-high waterfall falls over several steps into an impressive gorge. Crossing the bridge over the gorge requires a little courage and is breathtaking. A tour of the town with the Füssen town puzzle is twice as much fun and also takes you to the most important places. Time will fly by!

Castles and palaces

in a royal landscape

You don't have to travel far to visit all the castles and palaces that the Ostallgäu region has to offer. In the old town of Füssen you can discover the High Castle. But that's not all. King Ludwig II built the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle around five kilometers from Füssen and Hohenschwangau Castle is located right next to it. Easy hikes take you to the castle ruins of Hopfen or the castle ruins of Hohenfrey and Eisenberg. You have a fantastic view from the ruins of Falkenstein Castle and in neighboring Tyrol you will find Vilsegg Castle and the Ehrenberg Castle World. Füssen is therefore the ideal starting point for anyone who wants to experience an adventurous journey through time.
