Visitors tax

Contribution to quality assurance

Why do I have to pay a visitors tax?
The visitors tax is used to maintain an extensive network of hiking and cycling trails as well as recreational facilities (e.g. Kneipp facilities), provide tourist infrastructure and guarantee a wide range of services and facilities.

Thanks to the income from the visitors tax, we are also able to offer you services such as free bus travel in the southern Ostallgäu district, discounted city tours and an extensive, discounted guest care program and discounts at various tourist facilities.
