Hopfensee

Lake Hopfensee, five kilometers northwest of Füssen in the Allgäu, is one of the warmest Bavarian pre-Alpine lakes. Along the lakeside promenade - also known as the "Riviera of the Allgäu" - there are numerous inviting cafés and restaurants. No matter how you enjoy Lake Hopfensee, the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains is always included.

Activities at Hopfensee

There is a varied circular hiking trail around Lake Hopfensee, which has been developed as a lakeside promenade in the Hopfen am See area and offers a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding Alpine peaks. One of the highlights at Hopfensee is the floating Kneipp island, which, together with other Kneipp elements, offers a modern take on the health teachings of the "water doctor". Near the village store in Hopfen am See, you will find a boat rental service that offers pedal boats, rowing boats and small electric boats. At the western end of the lakeside promenade is the "Seepark Hopfensee" (public bathing area) with a large sunbathing lawn with trees, children's playground and restaurants. Surfers and anglers also feel at home on the "Allgäu Riviera", as do stand-up paddlers.
