Organ tour

a musical tour of the city's organs

Unique history

Experience the music and history of Füssen's master organ builder Andreas Jäger (1704-1773) up close! You have the unique opportunity to discover his impressive organs in the historic old town of Füssen. Five of these organs created by Jäger are still in their original condition and sound amazingly good despite their age.

Accompany the musician Petra Jaumann-Bader on a fascinating organ walk through the old town. She will open the doors of often closed, charming side churches for you and bring the unique sounds of these historic instruments to life.

Depending on the time you have available, you can visit one or more of these churches:

  • St. Sebastian Cemetery Church
  • St. Spirit Hospital Church
  • Frau am Berg Church at the foot of the Calvary
  • St. Mangkirche with its large organ and the horizontal organ in the choir stalls
  • Franciscan Church of St. Stephen

If you wish, you can also be accompanied by course chaplain Christian Schulte, who will introduce you to the deeper meaning and spiritual power of the various churches.

Take advantage of this special opportunity to experience music history live and immerse yourself in the soundscapes of Andreas Jäger!
