On Saturday, May 3, 2025, the starting signal for the 3rd Bavaria Königsmarsch Allgäu will be given at 7:00 a.m. at the town fountain in Reichenstraße in Füssen - an ultra-hiking event that is not only athletically challenging, but also scenically inspiring. The 41.3-kilometre route leads through the picturesque foothills of the Alps, past glistening lakes such as Weißensee, Alatsee, Schwansee, Alpsee and Forggensee. Highlights on the route include the Lech Falls, the treetop path on the German-Austrian border and the royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. For those who want to take it a little easier, there are two shortened alternative routes covering 22.2 and 31.8 kilometers.
