Welcome to the winter wonderland!

Snowball fight and sleigh ride with the whole family

The winter landscape in Füssen is a real paradise! Whether you're having a snowball fight or building a snowman - fresh snow always brings lots of fun! The hills and pastures around the town are perfect for sledging! Grab your sledge and whizz down the snow-covered slopes. It's great fun for the whole family - and best of all, you can go back up as often as you like! Would you like to learn to ski or improve your skills? There are great ski courses especially for children in the surrounding ski schools. Here you can learn your first turns in the snow from experienced ski instructors. You can practise on the child-friendly slopes and make rapid progress. After a few days, you'll be whizzing down the slopes like the grown-ups!
You shouldn't miss out on a very special winter experience: You can watch deer up close at the wild animal feeding station.

Places to go sledging with children

Don't forget your helmet for protection!
Buchenberg
A moderately difficult hike that takes about 1.5 hours uphill. Recommended for children who enjoy walking. Alternatively, you can take the chairlift up.
Breitenberg
First you take the Breitenberg cable car up the mountain. Then it's a 6 km run through untouched nature down into the valley. (Return to the valley station with the toboggan bus; toboggan hire at the mountain station)
Röfleuten sun lifts
In addition to the ski slopes, there is a slope that can be used for tobogganing. Ideal for toddlers to make their first "sliding attempts".

Feeding wild animals

A special experience in the middle of nature

To protect the forest and the animals, feeding sessions are held by the hunter during the winter months. The wildlife feeding area is freely accessible and can be reached on foot or by horse-drawn carriage.

A trip to the moon?

Winter walk through the Forggensee

Did you know that you can walk through the Forggensee in winter? In autumn, when the level of the lake slowly drops, the bottom of the lake comes to light - a moon-like landscape where you can collect alluvial wood and other treasures.
